1Q) Is The Grange Nursing & Residential Home registered?
A) Yes, we are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to care for the elderly with physical and sensory disabilities. We are also registered to care for residents who suffer from dementia. As we are dual registered, we accept both residential and nursing clients.[/box]
2Q) What fees do you charge?
A) For those funded by Social Services we might charge a 3rd party top of £25 to £50 per week. For privately funded residents we charge £750 per week + NHS contribution if they qualify for it.
3Q) What happens before I come into the Home?
A) Prior to admission, our manager or one of our nurses will visit you at home or in hospital. This allows us to carry out an assessment of your care needs. Following the assessment we will help to plan a programme of individual care along with relatives, G.P. and other relevant parties to ensure you get the help you need.
4Q) Are visitors allowed?
A) Yes, we welcome friends and family to visit as much as possible and endeavour to keep friends and family involved in the Home. We do not have any formal restrictions on visiting times but please try to leave before 8pm in the evening.
5Q) Can I bring my own furniture?
A) Yes, as long as it is practical, we encourage our residents to bring their personal belongings to make their room feel as homely as possible.
6Q) Will I have a Care Plan?
A) Yes, a care plan will be tailored to meet your individual needs which will be reviewed on a regular basis.
